architecture

I grew up in a house designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. It was a work of art made of limerock, glass, and wood, and it's lines and light and shadows fascinated me... to the point that I spent a year in architecture school and have designed and built a couple buildings. When my parents moved from my childhood home, I created an album documenting that amazing house for them. Traveling in other cultures has also given me deep appreciation for the endless variety and cleverness of design and materials in human constructions — from the stone arches of cathedrals to the roofs of grass thatch.
