Macrophotography means zooming in with special lenses made to focus close. That's part of what's here. But there are also other compositions of detail lifted from the whole — whether from tree bark, animal hide, or mountainside. Just as I am fond of some abstract paintings, I see abstract compositions in nature that jump out as being unique and pleasing to me.
