Snatched up by a sea gull moments after emerging from the nest, this hatchling managed to squirm loose and drop to shore. As the gull scooped him back up, I gave chase causing a 2nd drop. While all baby sea turtles face horrible odds of survival, I swam this one beyond the breakers hoping to improve his chances.
