Fraternal Wonder
The tupelo is locked in a mid-trunk hug to the cypress, and otherwise has no contact with the earth. It's small root clump hangs high in the water. Such strange grace and companionship in the plant world! They look like a pair of high-steppin' bell bottoms! Chipola River.
